Yo-Yo Ma Joins CSO for Muti’s Return

Ma will perform the Schumann Cello Concerto

Chicago Symphony Orchestra music director Riccardo Muti will return to the podium May 5–14 to close out the symphony’s season. Joining the CSO May 12–14 will be renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma, who will perform the Schumann Cello Concerto. That program also includes the CSO’s first performances of composer Mason Bates’ The B-Sides, Five Pieces for Orchestra and Electronica, and Strauss’s Aus Italien. cso.org
