Savall Injures Knee, Cancels Tour
Doctor’s orders: do not to leave country
Catalonian gambist Jordi Savall has canceled his North American tour with Hespèrion XXI and the Tembembe Ensamble Continuo after injuring his knee. A Los Angeles Philharmonic representative says Savall was under doctor’s orders not to leave the country after damaging his meniscus. It wasn’t immediately clear just how bad the injury was at press time or when he would return to concertizing. alia-vox.com
