Tenure will begin July 2012

Violin professor Paul Kantor and his pianist wife, Virginia “Ginny” Weckstrom, have joined the faculty of Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music. Their tenure will begin July 2012. Kantor will be named the Sallie Shepherd Perkins Professor of Violin. A fixture at the Aspen Music Festival and School, where he’s taught and performed for 32 years, Kantor is the Eleanor H.
