La Catrina String Quartet has been named ensemble-in-residence at New Mexico State University. The quartet—violinists Daniel Vega-Albela and Blake Espy; violist Jorge Martínez; and cellist Alan Daowz—perform and promote Mexican and Latin American music alongside Western classical works.
