30-year-old violinist Yoonshin Song gets the assignment

In an important step to rebuilding the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, after a 26-week strike led to the loss of several members, the organization announced during a May 6 webcast that Yoonshin Song, 30, is the new concertmaster.
