Conductor Healing
Chicago Symphony Orchestra music director Riccardo Muti underwent surgery to repair facial fractures incurred after fainting onstage during a rehearsal. Screws and plates were placed in Muti’s face to help healing, and his jaw has been temporarily fixed with wires.
