Chamber Music America Receives $250,000 Grant

Service organization funded by Doris Duke Foundation

Chamber Music America, the national service organization for professional ensembles and their associations, is receiving a $250,000 grant this year from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. The grant will support the Doris Duke Jazz Ensembles Project, a national project designed to expand CMA’s jazz programs. Funds will be used to create awards, scholarships, and grant programs for jazz musicians and ensembles. "What fantastic news!" said Dean Stein, executive director of CMA. "This grant means that, across the country, some of America’s finest jazz ensembles will be launching exciting new projects designed to enrich our nation’s musical life."
