CMA Doles Out Residency Grants

Stringed instrument ensembles cash in

Chamber Music America is passing out more than $90,000 in grants to support community-based residencies. Recipients include the Artaria String Quartet, which is in residence at the Dawson-Boyd Arts Association in Dawson, Minnesota; the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Firebird Ensemble; double bassist Michael Hill’s Orlando Chamber Soloists; the Hausmann Quartet, which is in residence at Rockport Music in Rockport, Massachusetts; and the Marian Anderson String Quartet. In addition, the Cavani String Quartet has again been awarded the Guarneri String Quartet Residency grant. chamber-music.org
