The Cleveland Orchestra has announced two new tech innovations that offer fans a convenient way to purchase tickets, receive discounts, and connect to social media. The new mobile application for cellular phones includes a streamlined mobile ticketing system across all mobile application platforms—mobile website, Android, and iOS. Powered by InstantEncore.com, the prominent performing arts digital platform, the smart phone app also connects fans to the Cleveland Orchestra blog, Facebook, YouTube, and information about the orchestra, including musicians’ photos and biographies, and venues. The app will also feature on-demand, streaming broadcasts from WCLV-FM of performances by the Cleveland Orchestra and Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra.
Opt-in text messaging is also now available. Invitations to sign up for text alerts will be posted at clevelandorchestra.com and sent via e-mail on a regular basis for access to exclusive discounts to attend concerts and events.
The latest tech innovations are an addition to the orchestra’s ongoing social media platforms and website including a Cleveland Orchestra blog (viewed by readers in all 50 states and more than 100 countries), Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and YouTube. The Cleveland Orchestra’s website offers convenient online seat selection and print-at-home tickets. The apps are available at iTunes.
