“When I first started playing bass in middle school, I was listening to a lot of Dvorák,” says Sybarite5 founder and bassist Louis Levitt. “When I was in high school, I was into Shostakovich. When I got into college, it was Stravinsky, Mahler, and Brahms. Then I got to a point where I’d explored a lot of this music, and I’d hear Led Zeppelin or Radiohead on the radio, and I thought, ‘Man, it would be cool if we could play that.’ “And then I started to think, ‘Why not?’”
