Kronos Reunite with Ex-Cellist Jeanrenaud
First time in 20 years onstage together
Twenty years after parting company, the members of the Kronos Quartet and ex-Kronos cellist Joan Jeanrenaud will reunite at Carnegie Hall for the New York premiere of composer Vladimir Martynov’s Schubert-Quintet (Unfinished), the centerpiece of Kronos’s new CD, Music of Vladimir Martynov.
Jeanrenaud, who earned a Grammy nomination for her 2008 solo album Strange Toys, can be heard as a special guest on the new Kronos album.
The current lineup of the San Francisco–based ensemble is David Harrington and John Sherba (violins), Hank Dutt (viola), and Jeffrey Zeigler. Learn more at carnegiehallorg.
