That cello has a bright, clear tone that is strong and sings, especially in the high registers. It was the first full-size instrument I owned and I still enjoy the comfort of playing it—it’s like meeting an old friend whom you haven’t spoken to in years. But, my Vuillaume has far more depth and complexity of tone, especially in the lower register.
