Classic Gear: D’Addario Helicore Violin Strings
Like other D’Addario strings, Helicores are celebrated and popular for their reliable warm, clear sound and longevity. Helicores (pronounced hella-core) are multi-strand, twisted steel-core strings, with a small string diameter that promotes a quick bow response. The full-size set features an array of wrappings for a balanced tone: G strings are wrapped in silver, D strings with titanium, and A strings with aluminum. The ball-end strings are available in a variety of tensions and sizes for fractionals (1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4).
